How can I change my name/email address?
You can change your name/email address or cancel your membership on the Yamaha Music ID for Business site.
Note: Name/email address changes can only be performed in Yamaha Music ID for Business. These changes will be reflected in your YMU account the next time you log in.

How can I delete my account?
You can delete your account on the Yamaha Music ID for Business site. Click here or select Account from the dropdown menu under your name at the top of this page. Then click on the Cancel Membership tab on your Yamaha Music ID for Business page and follow the instructions until you click Confirm.
Note: This will cancel all services linked to your YAMAHA MUSIC ID.
How can I enroll in a course?
Go to the Yamaha Music University home page and select Courses from the top menu. Use the Categories dropdown or the search bar to locate a course. When you find one you want, click Enroll to add it to your My Courses list.
Note: You can access My Courses by hovering over your name in the top menu and select My Learning.
How do I access course materials after enrolling?
After enrolling in a course, you will be directed to the course overview page where you will click Continue to launch the course. You can also access your registered courses by hovering over your name in the top menu and select My Learning.
How do I track my progress in a course?
You can track your course progress from the following three areas:
- My Learning under your profile name
- Course Overview page(s)
- Left menu in each Course Player
What are the system requirements for taking your courses?
There are no system requirements to access our courses. All you need is a web browser with an internet connection. We recommend using the latest and most up-to-date internet browsers. Google Chrome is recommended. Please disable any popup blockers for the best experience.
What should I do if my course won't load?
Check your internet connection and try refreshing the page. Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and clear your cache.
I can't hear any audio. What should I do?
All YMU audio/video content plays with sound enabled. If you do not hear audio, check that your speakers or headphones are connected and confirm the volume settings in both the course and your device.

The video content is not playing smoothly. How can I fix this?
Try lowering the video quality (if available), close unnecessary tabs or apps, and pause the video to let it buffer.
What should I do if I find an error in the course content?
The content you find in YMU is crafted by music loving people just like you. If you see anything that could be improved, or clarified, please report any content errors to the support team using the Contact Us link to email is at trainingsupport@yamaha.com.
What should I do if I have completed an E-Learning, but YMU does not show 100% completion for the course?
It is likely that you have completed the training E-Learning without accepting the Certificate of Completion. The Certificate of Completion needs to be accepted for the system to show you 100% complete. Click on the Certificate near the bottom of that training's Course Overview page.
Can I access the courses on my mobile device?
Yes, the website is mobile-friendly. However, certain courses may be easier to view on a computer.
I forgot my login details. How can I retrieve them?
Click Register/Sign In in YMU to open the Yamaha Music ID for Business page. Select Reset Password under the Sign In button, enter the email linked to your account, and click Send Password Reset Link. Then follow the instructions in the email from auto-confirm@mail2.member.yamaha.com to reset your password and regain access to YMU. Don't forget to check your email junk/spam folders for the reset email.
Note: Reset emails are only sent to existing registered accounts. If you do not receive a reset email to the account you submitted, that email address may not be the one attached to your account.
